Common rangeland management in agro-pastoral areas: Ait Ammar's Case Study (Morocco)

While the solutions to rangeland degradation seem to rely on institutional changes, and particularly on land reforms, in this paper we are proposing a focus on the approach of "co-management" under the regime of common property rights. Based on the conclusions derived from a Moroccan case study, we examine the management tools that are available to local communities in order to successfully achieve decentralized management of the rangelands.
