In just ten years, South Africa has reached such a level of maturity and political power as to firmly establish its leadership position on the African continent. The orthodox policy and pragmatism which marked this achievement can also be observed in the steady development of the domestic financial sector. Notwithstanding the occasional mishap, this sector is expected to continue growing and to strengthen further.
