Food systems are characterized by gender disparities that limit their resilience to shocks. As a result, the measures taken by the State of Senegal to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic have exacerbated gender inequalities in the country's food systems and, in particular, those of the Niayes. But at the same time, we observe a certain capacity for resilience among women. This study is based on data from surveys conducted among agricultural households and food system actors in the Niayes and produced by the Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale (IPAR).
