The redistribution of oil revenue in Central Africa

Oil revenue has not been used in African producing countries to foster equitable development or to effectively fight poverty. However, increased pressure from NGOs and donors, sometimes in the context of declining oil reserves, seems to create new incentives for governments and oil companies to change their practices and allow for a more equitable distribution and a more effective use of oil revenues for development purposes.
